AMTIS, Inc. pleased to announce the company successfully completed a transition audit to move from the ISO 9001:2008 standard to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The ISO 9001:2015 standard certification is the most up to date standard and shows that AMTIS, Inc. has consistent, documented, and measurable management processes throughout the company. The transition audit was conducted in mid-December and the results were provided at the beginning of the new year.
AMTIS Inc. has been named to this year's 2017 Inc. 5000 list, Inc. magazine's annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. for the 5th year in a row. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment— independent small and midsized businesses. 8(a) STARS II GWAC Award
The AMTIS-HeiTech (AH) Joint Venture (JV) announced today that it was awarded a Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) from the General Services Administration (GSA) for SBA Certified 8(a) businesses. AH received the award in four areas in both Constellation I and Constellation II including North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) functional areas: 541511 – Custom Computer Programming Services, 541512 – Computer Systems Design Services, 541513 – Computer Facilities Management Services, and 541519 – Other Computer Related Services. The 8(a) STARS II GWAC program has a five-year base with one five-year option. It has a $10 billion program ceiling and facilitates sole-source, also known as directed award, task orders up to $4 million each.
The 8(a) STARS II GWAC is designed to promote small business utilization when purchasing information technology (IT) services or IT services-based solutions for the federal government. This program is reserved exclusively for 8(a) small business concerns. Federal agencies can issue task orders under the $4 Million competitive threshold on a sole-source basis.
Benefits of using the GSA 8(a) STARS II GWAC include:
• 8(a) socioeconomic credit transferrable to the agency
• Access to prequalified 8(a) small, disadvantaged businesses
• Shortened procurement lead time
• A low contract access fee (0.75 percent) built into the ceiling prices

Cyberthon 2017 was held at the National Flight Academy in Pensacola, FL January 20-22, 2017. AMTIS today announced that it has been appraised at level 2 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)®. The appraisal was performed by the Northern Utah Process Improvement Technologies Inc. (NUPIT). CMMI is a capability improvement framework that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.
An appraisal at maturity level 2 indicates the organization is performing at a “managed” level. At this level, projects have ensured that processes are planned and executed in accordance with policy; the projects employ skilled people who have adequate resources to produce controlled outputs; involve relevant stakeholders; are monitored, controlled, and reviewed; and are evaluated for adherence to their process descriptions.
On March 14th, Theresa Farmer, our Vice President for Business Development and Operations lost her battle with cancer. She has been a key member of our Executive Leadership Team for the last 5 years and a significant contributor to our growth and success. We all extend our prayers and sympathy to her family and will build on the foundation she helped to create for us. We will greatly miss her smile, vision, and continuous contribution to AMTIS. Above all she was a loyal friend who always had our back.

AFCEA is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing an ethical forum for increasing knowledge and exchanging information relevant to its members in the areas of information technology, communications and cyber security. The second annual CyberThon will be held at the National Flight Academy.

AMTIS, Inc. is a Sponsor of the 13th Annual Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Pensacola Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament to be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at A.C.
